II International practical conference «Technological solutions for shipbuilding»

Representatives of Russian  shipbuilding yards and  engineering departments discussed opportunities of modernization and development of ship yards within II International practical conference «Technological solutions for shipbuilding», that took place on the  15^th -16^th  of October in Saint-Petersburg, Hotel Sokos Palace Bridge. 

The conference was organized by Holding company STANKOINVEST (stankoinvest.ru) together with leading shipbuilding companies of South Korea, and also manufacturers of specialized equipment and solutions from Italy and Portugal

Also speeches were delivered by HC STANKOINVEST representatives, responsible for such directions as: machining, sheet-metalworking, metrology, cutting instruments and tools, welding equipment, galvanization, metal casting. Partner-companies INTRA Project and Semargl arouse interest by their solutions in the field of technical audit and engineering, organization of transport-storage facilities.

At the conference were presented over 20 speeches on various topics that showed different levels, at which shipbuilding industry can be developed: from portable equipment to engineering and construction of ship yards. The most interesting topics, according to the participants of the conference, were the following: engineering, technical modernization and construction of ship yards “from scratch”, hull processing and assembly-welding production, technological audit, transport-storage facilities and transportation of large-sized work pieces, and also painting and sandblasting equipment.

Over 80 people took part in the conference, among them are workshop managers, chief technicians and engineers, managers of various departments of USC. All participants highly appreciated the organization of the conference,  up-to-dateness of the discussed issues and expressed a wish to take part in the next similar event.
