It is impossible to organize production of high quality products and universal details and units without metrological provision.

For standardization of measurements in Russian Federation was created metrological supervision, whose competence is to check and perform metrological revision of measurement units.

Measurement instruments are considered to be serviceable if their calibration was performed in accordance with regulatory documents and all the requirements of these documents were observed.

Check is performed by means of standard instruments that ensure stability of measuring unit. Usage of measuring instruments and equipment as standard ones must be approved by state standards and methodological regulations that define used methods, procedures and standard instruments.

This equipment includes:

• Industry standard (reference gage, graded gage, assembled length gage, setting rings, gauging rolls, sources of monochrome light, calibration sets),
• Control of end bars, gages, universal measuring units (comparators, vertical length gages),
• Control of gauges profile, smooth and pitch gauges (horizontal gages)
• Control of roundness accuracy, roughness, flatness and straightness (gages for measuring deviations from roundness accuracy, profile meters, sets of differential level gauges)
