is a universal machine tool designed for precise milling, coordinate boring, the boring and cutting of box and plate screws and complicated workpieces with a weight of up to 12,000 kg.
The WHN(Q) 13 CNC horizontal milling and boring machine is the most successful machine in the company's production range. The first model of this machine was produced in 1969. The fact that to date more than 1,600 of these machines have been manufactured bears witness to the success of the WHN(Q). It stands out mainly thanks to the ratio of its utility properties to its purchase price. Users also appreciate the machine structure, which guarantees high rigidity and reliability, high technical parameters and the wide range and comfort of the technological functions.
WHN(Q) 13 CNC machine is controlled by a sophisticated CNC control the features and peripherals of which are relevant to the applied type (HEIDENHAIN TNC 426/430 M, SIEMENS SINUMERIK 840 D, FANUC 16i-MA etc.).
Producer offers this machine in the following executions:
- WHN 13 CNC - table type, CNC controlled horizontal borer with live spindle, transversely traveling table and longitudinally traveling column
- WHQ 13 CNC - same model, but equipped with the Automatic Tool Changer (ATC)

WHN(Q) 13 CNC is a machine controlled continuously in four linear coordinates X, Y, Z, W. Other automatically positioned coordinates are the indexing table (B axis), with basic positioning increment of 0,001°, and also the spindle (C axis). The machine may optionally be supplied with a plain table 1,900 x 2,800 mm with maximum workpiece load of 15 metric tons and transverse travel of X = 3,000 mm.
The machine is equiped as a standard with an independently controlled operator platform.
The spindle is driven via two automatically changed gear trains. The spindle is nitrided and guided, with minimum clearance, in a nitrided quill.
The quill runs in a system of special, highly accurate, angular contact ball bearings
