is a machine of the most advanced technologic level. The WHN 110 (Q, MC) horizontal milling and boring machine belongs to the machine range of advanced generation launched by TOS VARNSDORF a.s. in 1992. The machine range is Hi Tech featured, powerful, and from the optimum performance of an individual machine point of view there is a wide range of executions available. The machine may either be controlled by Heidenhain TNC 426 M or Sinumerik 840 D of Siemens. Application of advanced AC drives of Siemens and electric switchgear and protection elements of world-renown makers (Telem?canique, Simens and other) ensures a long lasting reliability of the machine.
The producer offer the following type alternatives:
- WHN 110 - horizontal boring mill with a live spindle and a transversely traveling rotary table
- WHN 110 Q - the same model equipped with an Automatic Tool Changer
- WHN 110 MC - machine center - the ATC equipped model supplemented with an Automatic Pallet Changing equipment as well
WHN 110 (Q, MC) horizontal boring mill is available with either of two different spindle head types:
type N with the spindle assembly carried up in a double row roller bearings - for higher dynamic load
type R with the spindle assembly carried up in a system of special, spindle type, angular contact ball bearings - for a wider range of the spindle speeds
The emloyed CNC system controls fully the machine's 5 axes (X, Y, Z, W, B) plus the workspindle rotation (C axis). Independent servodrives in all the axes allow for the linear, circular as well as helical interpolation to be exploited.
The machine's rotary table is clamped by hydraulics at its target positions while the other axes are held their relevant target positions by the power of their relevant servo-motors working within the closed positional loop.
